Department of Kathakali Sangeetham
Kathakali sangeetham department was established in the year 1974. The department expanded in the expert hands of Cherthala Thankappa panicker , Kunjambu Pothuval, Kalamandalam Vellodi Rajendran, Kalamandalam Goplakrishnan, Kalamandalam kolathqppilli Narayanan Nampoothiri. and Kalamandalam Sreekumar.The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate course in Kathakali Sangeetham.
Courses
B.A.Kathakalia Sangeetham
This is a 3year regular undergraduate program with 10seats (boys/girls). Candidates securing not less than 55% marks in 12th are eligible to apply for this course. Admission is based on interview and marks in qualifying examination.
M.A. Kathakali Sangeetham
Master’s program in kathakali Sangeetham is a 2 year full time course. This program has 7 seats. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in kathakali Sangeetham with minimum 55% mark are eligible to apply. The admission will based on interview and the marks in the qualifying exam.
