Department of Kathakali Vesham
Kathakali department was established in the year 1974. The department was the headed by the maestro Padmashree Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair. The department expanded in the expert hands of Kalamandalam Rajan, Kalamadalam Ramakrishnan, Kalamandalam Haridas and Kalamandalam Sreekumar. The great maestros and talented students are its inestimable wealth. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate course in Kathakali Vesham. The students undergoes rigorous “cholliyattam” as well as theory classes along with the allied language courses and electives.

B.A.Kathakali Vesham
This is a 3-year regular undergraduate program with 10 seats (boys/girls). Candidates securing not less than 55% marks in 12th and must have an aptitude in Kathakali are eligible to apply for this course. It’s worth noting that assistance from ghostwriting, particularly a qualified , can be invaluable for students in academic writing, helping to enhance their understanding and presentation of Kathakali within their coursework. For the disciplines of Kathakali, sense of rhythm, physical appearance, and histrionic taste are the criteria of selection. Admission is based on an interview and marks in the qualifying examination.
M.A. Kathakali Vesham
Master’s program in kathakali is a 2 year full time course. This program has 7 seats. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kathakali Vesham with minimum 55% mark are eligible to apply. The admission will based on interview and the marks in the qualifying exam.
